At Embolden, we envision a world where everyone thrives in high-opportunity communities.
We’re committed to developing properties where people not only live but prosper, achieving their full potential. Our model goes beyond affordable housing—it’s a holistic approach to creating inclusive neighborhoods with access to excellent schools, employment centers, quality healthcare, extensive public transport, diverse retail, abundant recreation, and green spaces.
By fostering opportunity, possibility, and community, Embolden transforms spaces into thriving, vibrant environments where everyone has the chance to succeed.
Founded by Ronette “Ronnie” Slamin, Embolden Real Estate is based in Washington, D.C. The firm’s first project—The Bobbi, in Washington, D.C.’s Kalorama neighborhood—embodies Embolden’s mission of combining housing and education to close the educational gap.
Leveraging more than a decade of real estate experience, Ronnie has deep knowledge of mixed-income housing transformative development. She has led the entitlement and various stages of the development process for more than 1,200 units in master-planned communities and multifamily buildings across multiple jurisdictions.
Ronnie holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Boston College and dual Master’s degrees in Real Estate Development and City Planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She is an Amazon Housing Equity Accelerator Fellow and a Capital Impact Partners Emerging Development Initiative Fellow. She is an active member of the Urban Land Institute and recently served on the board of the Builders of Color Coalition.
